Full Tilt Poker has suspended real money play in the United States. Account balances are safe, and the site continues to operate as usual outside the US at www.fulltiltpoker.co.uk. Customer support can be reached at: support@fulltiltpoker.co.uk

I was surprised by the number of people flooding the comments section with accusations that player’s bankrolls would be lost. Might I remind everyone what happened after the US passed the UIGEA in 2006. While everyone held their breath waiting to see how the bill would effect us as players, US officials arrested two former Neteller executives. In response, Neteller promptly withdrew from the US market, leaving players fearful as to the safety and fate of their bankrolls. Many remained calm, knowing that it would be resolved in some way in short order, but others had a virtual hissy fit and began freaking out… much like people are doing right now in response to this shut down by Full Tilt, Absolute Poker, Ultimate Bet Poker and PokerStars. Relax people, they got people on this. The poker sites don’t want to lose you or your bankroll anymore than you want it lost. Give them a chance to come up with a workable solution. Crying about it isn’t going to help anyway.

Act like a poker player and realize… the US gov’t rivered you. It happens. Let’s move on to the next hand now please.

Played the $3.30 PLO8 tournament (with one rebuy and one add on) tonight and took the whole thing down. Was having a downswing day on the cash games and needed a good win to boost the bankroll back into some kind of playable range. I had to do both the re-buy and add on to stay in the game for the beginning was rough. Didn’t get any playable hands and the times I did, the flop seemed to dash any hope of wining the hand. The play was fast and crazy at the beginning, with people going broke or building monster stacks very quickly. I have played this tournament alot, so I’m used to the crazy play it brings. After the break I caught some cards and a couple breaks to put me into the chip lead but that didn’t last long. Couple bad beats and now I’m the short stack and looking for a good spot to get all my chips in the pot. When I made the final table I was in 5th chip position and totally card dead. At one point I only had 13K left and the two big stacks both had over 100K. A couple of double ups, well timed bluffs and the next thing I know I’m heads up and ready to do battle. At the start of H/U play he had me out chipped by about 50K, but with in 4 hands the match was over. It took about four and half hours.
